Four men were arrested on Tuesday night after police discovered over 50 grams of suspected cocaine and a smaller quantity of cannabis near the Farmer’s Wharf at Supenaam Waterfront, Region Two.

Police said the arrests were made around 23:17 hrs during a mobile patrol by ranks of Regional Division Two. The four men were seen at a location known as ‘Dunchie’s Shop’ and were in close proximity to the area where the suspected narcotics were later found.

A search of the surrounding area led officers to a transparent plastic bag containing a white, rock-like substance suspected to be cocaine, and another bag with leaves, seeds, and stems believed to be cannabis. The items were found a short distance away, in front of the Farmer’s Wharf.

The suspects reportedly denied ownership of the narcotics, which were later weighed and confirmed to be 51.98 grams of suspected cocaine and 12.25 grams of suspected cannabis.

The four men, along with the seized substances, were taken to the Aurora Police Station. Investigations are continuing.
